No matter what's going on in our lives, Jesus is always here.
If you've made it to this page, it means you found one of the Jesus figurines we placed around Freeport! Feel free to keep it as a reminder that we can have Jesus with us all the time, leave it somewhere for someone else to find, or give it to someone who may need to know about Jesus. Let us know where you found the Jesus figurine, and keep reading below to learn more about God and his plan for your life through Jesus.
He wants you to experience the life He offers to all who believe. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." John 3:16-17.
God has a plan for you!
God cannot abide sin and the sin in our lives separates us from Him. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
When Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, the penalty for our sins was paid. The cross bridges the gap of separation between us and God. 1 peter 2:24 tells us, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree (cross), that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed."
Although Jesus' death on the cross bridges the gap of separation, it is not forced upon you. The gift of salvation, like any other gift, must be accepted. By accepting the free gift of salvation, you become a part of God's family. John 1:12 tells us, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
To receive Christ, simply do these things:
Romans 10:13 tells us, "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." If you are ready to accept Jesus into your heart, you can use this prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In your name, amen.”
